Job summary

Amentum seeks a Range Systems Section Supervisor to lead O&M, safety, and data handling for Space Force range operations. The role involves directing technicians, ensuring training and qualification per contract standards, and maintaining procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business management, or four years of direct experience.
• Five or more (5+) years of operation and maintenance experience for instrumentation, facilities, and infrastructure with at least five years in a supervisory level.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with multiple customer organizations, local government, Amentum management, and employees on operational, technical, and personnel issues.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize work despite changing schedules and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local and remote environment range missions and related manuals, specifications, and drawings.
• Proficiency in electronics, mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of system equipment.
• Ability to manage a lean, high-performance organization within government facilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the workforce through supervisors and technicians responsible for O&M functions in Data Handling and Range Safety.
• Ensure personnel are trained, qualified, and meet contract requirements and government standards.
• Develop and maintain procedures describing current standards, performance, reporting, and documentation; manage deviations via root cause analysis.
• Schedule personnel to meet contract and mission requirements; recall during emergencies.
• Monitor performance to detect deviations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure infrastructure is prepared, inspected, and ready to meet mission requirements.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and report outages per contract standards.
• Ensure security, material control, and inventory practices align with contract standards.
• Support planning and integration of new or modified facilities and systems.
