Job summary

Amentum seeks a Systems Engineer Lead - SysML to support the Space Force Range Contract. You will develop SysML models across functional, logical, and physical architectures and ensure traceability to verification artifacts.

You will support requirements decomposition, interface management, and V&V planning, coordinating with government stakeholders and IPTs. A DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in aerospace/defense or complex infrastructure.
• Hands-on SysML and MBSE tool experience (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Capella).
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
• DoD Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and mature SysML models (functional, logical, physical).
• Establish bidirectional traceability between requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verifications.
• Author and maintain various diagram types and interface models.
• Support digital engineering initiatives and V&V planning.
• Assist in risk management, configuration control, and change boards.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and IPTs.
