Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator with a Secret clearance to support DoD-classified environments.

You will patch, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows-based systems, participate in CCB processes, and perform vulnerability management while maintaining documentation and supporting customers. The role requires strong collaboration across teams, a proactive approach to incident response, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and 5+ years of work experience with Windows administration and maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with partners, engineering, operations and vendors.
• Experience automating server builds and standardizing images.
• Analytical and strategic thinking with a service-oriented mindset.
• Security clearance level: Secret (DoD 8570 IAT Level II is preferred).

Responsibilities

• Patch desktops/servers, install and configure software, hardware, and networks; respond to outages and troubleshoot systems issues.
• Monthly Microsoft patching; maintain WSUS servers and test updates on unclassified systems before deployment.
• Participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) reviews and document changes; ensure secure solutions.
• Conduct monthly vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation or POAM updates.
• Provide technical expertise in system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, and problem resolution.
