Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a senior Systems Administrator to safeguard and optimize DoD IT infrastructure in a DoD environment.

The role supports the US BICES-X program, ensuring secure operation across multiple operating systems and platforms. The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance, 10+ years in systems administration, and hands-on experience with STIGs, Tenable, ACAS, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical
• 10+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
• Must possess and maintain a US Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• Must have a valid passport for international travel.
• Experience with Server STIGs, patching, Tenable, ACAS, SCCM, and IAVA vulnerabilities.
• Experience with Group Policy, and Windows PowerShell.
• Experience with Multiple OS' and Scripting Languages
• Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software
• Windows 10 Certification within 90 days.
• Must meet DOW 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire. Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

Responsibilities

• Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
• Maintains the integrity and security of systems.
• As required, supports users with completing requests for deployment of new services.
• Maintains system documentation
• Mares recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• Adheres to the principles, methods, and techniques used in system administration and support.
• Maintains/enhances knowledge of related hardware and software.
• Will occasionally be required to perform networks, DTS, information assurance and logistics duties.
• May be required to work outside of "normal" work hours to include weekends and holidays.
