Job summary

RyconConstruction in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team at the Pittsburgh office. You will be responsible for maintaining servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure to support our nationwide projects.

Key duties include administering Active Directory, Entra ID, and security controls; overseeing network gear, backups, DR readiness; and providing Tier 3 support while mentoring Helpdesk staff in a midsize enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems/infrastructure administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID/M365.
• Solid networking fundamentals and infrastructure expertise.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity controls.
• Support firewalls, switches, wireless, and site connectivity.
• Oversee monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Provide Tier 3 support and guidance to Helpdesk staff.
