Job summary

RyconConstruction in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team at the Pittsburgh office. You will be responsible for maintaining servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure to support our nationwide projects.

Key duties include administering Active Directory, Entra ID, and security controls; overseeing network gear, backups, DR readiness; and providing Tier 3 support while mentoring Helpdesk staff in a midsize enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems/infrastructure administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID/M365.
• Solid networking fundamentals and infrastructure expertise.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting in production environments.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator at our Pittsburgh office.

What you will do:

• Maintain and monitor servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity/security controls
• Support firewalls, switches, wireless, and site-to-site connectivity
• Oversee monitoring systems, backup validation, and disaster recovery readiness
• Provide Tier 3 support, root-cause analysis, and guidance to Helpdesk staff
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and procedures

What you will need to be successful:

• 5+ years of systems/infrastructure admin experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID/M365
• Strong knowledge of networking infrastructure
• Experience with virtua lization (VMware/Hyper-V) and change management
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments
• Experience in midsize enterprise environments preferred
• Knowledge of backup/monitoring/DR tools, security collaboration, and PowerShell

automation preferred
