Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior System Validation Engineer in Roseville to own silicon bring-up, system integration, and validation of next-generation SoCs.

You will design validation infrastructure, develop test plans, and run complex tests on prototype silicon and firmware in a fast-paced lab. The role involves work with prototype ICs, validation boards, FPGAs, and lab equipment, plus mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of silicon/SoC validation (pre- or post-silicon).
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python (or Tcl).
• Experience with high-speed test equipment and lab debugging.
• Experience with pre/post-silicon validation environments.

Responsibilities

• Integrate prototype SoC hardware/firmware into complete system solutions.
• Develop and execute feature-level tests to validate hardware/firmware against specs.
• Work with emulation platforms and post-silicon prototypes.
• Build and maintain validation infrastructure and test scripts.
• Lead technical activities and mentor junior engineers.
