Raytheon’s System Safety / Human System Integration (HSI) Department seeks Principal System Safety Engineers for onsite roles in MA or RI. You will develop MIL-STD-882E compliant safety programs, manage budgets, and mentor engineers while coordinating with government customers and cross-functional teams.

The position emphasizes lifecycle safety oversight, risk mitigation, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure hazard elimination and safety compliance across design, testing, and production

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.
• Experience briefing safety status to safety approval authority at technical reviews or safety boards.
• Experience managing or owning a safety program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E system safety programs and analyses.
• Integrate safety tasks into IMS and manage contractual compliance.
• Oversee safety budgets, EVM coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
