Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to support DoW system programs, applying system safety principles and hazard analyses to reduce warfighter risk. You will lead safety tasks, mentor junior staff, and develop technical reports and assessments in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of system safety analyses, the ability to coordinate technical meetings, and a willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in system safety, including implementing and executing DoW system safety programs.
• Experience in MIL-STD-882 safety analyses or system safety program implementation.
• Experience obtaining lithium battery certifications.
• Ability to analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage junior staff in executing safety tasks and provide mentorship to increase their expertise.
• Analyze data, develop written deliverables, assist with the presentation of results.
• Assist with the review of client system safety artifacts to verify compliance with requirements, policy, and guidance documents.
