Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a System Safety Engineer, Mid, to join our defense team. You will implement and oversee DoD system safety programs across weapon and unmanned systems, producing SSPPs, PHAs, SSHA, SHA, and SARs, and mentoring junior staff.

You’ll translate complex technical data into clear reports and support client reviews while maintaining schedule and quality. Applicants should have 2+ years in system safety, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in system safety and DoD safety programs.
• Experience obtaining lithium battery certifications.
• Experience in MIL-STD-882 safety analyses or SSPP implementation.
• Ability to analyze, research, and organize technical data into reports and presentations.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior staff in executing safety tasks.
• Execute comprehensive system safety programs across multiple systems.
• Develop and review SSPPs, PHAs, SSHA, SHA, and SARs or equivalent analyses.
• Prepare clear technical reports and assist with client presentations and artifact reviews.
