Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of System Safety or Systems Engineering experience performing requirements, traceability, functional decomposition, integration, verification, validation.
• Experience performing safety analyses on safety critical systems (FTA, PHA, FHA, Hazard Reports, FMECA, reliability analysis, mitigations).
• Ability to lead and coordinate safety analysis products across stakeholders to produce safety and reliability outputs.
• Strong safety and mission assurance fundamentals.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead engineering activities including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Preliminary Hazard Assessment (PHA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Hazard Reports, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), reliability analysis, and mitigation plans.
• Develop plans and coordinate completion of system and subsystem safety analysis, providing review, guidance, and expertise of safety analysis products.
• Ensure traceability between system and subsystem functions, requirements, and safety artifacts.
• Support verification and validation of safety and reliability requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers across the program and company.
• Collaborate across systems to develop best practices and find opportunities for common processes across programs.
