Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a System Safety engineer to mentor engineers in developing embedded safety software and to drive safety analyses and compliance across programs.

The role involves reviewing software processes, performing risk characterization, and championing a culture of safety while collaborating with integrated supply chain, test operations, safety, quality, and mission assurance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years software engineering experience developing embedded software in a safety industry, with 2+ years performing compliance audits or developing plans to standards.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on rapid development programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
