Job summary

Corvid Technologies LLC in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to support DoD product lines, finalizing development, testing, and launch systems. The role involves applying MIL-STD-882E safety requirements and collaborating with development and production teams.

You will embed safety features, perform hazard analyses (PHA, FHA, SHA, SSHA, OSHA, EHA, HHA, FTA, FMEA), and work across engineering disciplines to deliver reliable, safe weapon systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and its application to system safety programs.
• Experience with safety tools and databases (e.g., hazard tracking systems, model-based systems engineering, requirement databases).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering disciplines in a collaborative environment.
• Preferred candidate will have experience conducting hazard analyses (PHA, FHA, SHA, SSHA, OSHA, EHA, HHA, FTA, FMEA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and own required artifacts related to Safety for DoD programs.
• Conduct and document safety assessments such as PHA, SHA, FHA, and FTA.
• Develop verification plans and support related test activity, including data analysis.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to embed safety features and fault tolerance into designs.
