Job summary

RTX is seeking Senior System Safety Engineers for onsite roles in Tucson, AZ. The team focuses on identifying hazards and implementing safety controls across product lifecycles to protect warfighters and assets.

Responsibilities include hazard analyses, coordinating with customer safety reps and the Safety Review Board, and supporting cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineering teams to ensure compliance and safety throughout development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in System Safety, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, or Safety Engineering.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E system safety programs and perform analyses.
• Conduct hazard and design analyses to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with customer safety reps and Safety Review Board authorities for approvals.
