Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to join the System Safety/HSI team onsite in Woburn, MA (and other listed sites). You will develop MIL-STD-882E compliance safety programs, conduct hazard analyses, and coordinate with customer safety reps to secure approvals.

You should have a STEM degree and 5+ years of related experience, with DoD security clearance. The role offers relocation eligibility and is based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent safety engineering.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and perform analyses.
• Conduct hazard and design analyses to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with customer safety representatives to clarify requirements.
• Manage System Safety Working Groups with Raytheon and customers.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to eliminate hazards.
• Brief safety considerations during technical reviews and approval processes.
• Prepare internal and customer-facing reports detailing analyses and program status.
