Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related applied science discipline.
• 5 years of engineering-related work experience.
• ABET-accredited degree required.
• Approved disciplines include electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop or revise relay settings for transmission modifications.
• Maintain up-to-date short circuit model of the APS transmission system.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of all relay settings.
• Develop programs/projects to improve protection systems.
• Periodically review relay settings for coordination and protection.
• Provide field support during testing and commissioning of protection schemes.
• Provide support to operations during system events.
• Review protection system operations for correct operation.
• Participate in root cause analysis after protection mis-operations.
• Participate in NERC PRC and CIP compliance activities.
