Job summary

Advantest America Inc. is seeking a System Application Engineer to join the System Application Engineering team. You will support next-generation ATE solutions for HPC and AI-driven applications, guiding customers from concept to production with deep V93000 platform expertise.

You will work cross-functionally with R&D, COE, Sales, and Marketing in a global environment, translating complex requirements into reliable, scalable test solutions and acting as a technical advisor to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with the Advantest V93000 platform.
• Strong programming in Java, Python/Perl, and C/C++.
• Knowledge of wafer sort methodologies and production test flows.
• Experience with pre-sales activities or technical customer leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test methods and tooling (Java / C++) for digital and mixed-signal devices on the Advantest V93000 platform.
• Support customers in debugging and resolving SmarTest software and system-level issues.
• Document and communicate complex test concepts through technical documentation and customer-facing presentations.
• Train customers on new software and hardware capabilities released by R&D and AD Centers.
• Collaborate with COE, R&D, and global SAE teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Represent Advantest’s strengths and roadmap in customer engagements.
• Support pre-sales and NPI activities, including customer presentations and benchmark projects.
