Job summary

Advantest America in San Jose, CA is seeking a hands-on Semiconductor Test Application Engineer to bring up, validate, and optimize advanced SoC devices for AI compute and high-performance computing. Responsibilities

• Test Program Development: Architect, write, and optimize SoC test programs in modern ATE software environments including SmarTest 8 for AI compute and HPC devices.
• Silicon Bring-Up and Validation: Drive first-silicon bring-up on V93000 testers, debugging interactions between silicon, system behavior, test content, and tester environment.
• Pattern Workflow Engineering: Manage pattern translation, validation, and debugging across DFT and tester workflows using STIL/WGL; support tester bring-up.
• Hardware Co-Design and Debug: Collaborate with PCB and hardware teams to specify, validate, and troubleshoot high-density Device Interface Boards (DIBs).
• Test Time and Automation: Build automation in Python, Java, C++, or similar to analyze logs and STDF data, improve multi-site efficiency, and accelerate learning loops.
