The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT and prior MSP experience, with strong Microsoft 365, AD, Windows Server, SonicWall, and Ubiquiti skills. Hybrid schedule: 4 days remote, 1 day onsite.

Qualifications

• MSP or IT service provider experience preferred.
• 7+ total years IT experience required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows Server and workstation support.
• SonicWall and Ubiquiti configuration experience.
• Networking fundamentals including switches and firewalls.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated tickets (Levels 2/3).
• Deliver project work across Microsoft 365, AD, and Intune.
• Manage SonicWall and Ubiquiti network gear.
• Oversee Hyper-V deployments and Intune administration.
• Perform network and server deployments for SMB clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service.

We are a Houston-based Managed Service Provider is hiring a Senior System Administrator to join our growing technical team. This full-time role blends advanced support responsibilities with hands-on project work across Microsoft 365, server infrastructure, networking, and firewall management. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 role within a Managed Service Provider environment.

This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule, typically 4 days remote and 1 day onsite. Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Resolve escalated tickets across a wide range of technologies (Levels 2/3)
• Deliver project-based work involving:
• Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
• SonicWall firewalls and Ubiquiti network gear (switches and WAPs)
• Hyper-V deployments and Intune administration
• Perform network and server deployments for SMB clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery

Required Experience:

• 2+ years in an MSP or IT service provider environment
• 7 total years of IT experience
• Strong technical foundation in:
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory
• Windows Server and workstation support
• SonicWall and Ubiquiti configuration
• Networking fundamentals (switches, firewalls, connectivity)
• Excellent communication and client-facing support skills
• $90k - $100k base + quarterly bonuses
