Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Sr. System Administrator based in Tewksbury, MA, 100% onsite. Active DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship required; candidate must obtain interim clearance prior to start.

You will administer Windows and RHEL servers in a mixed environment, work with Cybersecurity, and pursue DoDD 8140/8570 certifications. On-call duties apply as systems run 24x7; relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain secret clearance prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience administering Windows and RHEL servers.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience securing system configurations and hardening.
• Experience scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in Windows and RHEL environments.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements.
• Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
• Systems run 24x7 and may require after-hours work.
• Must pursue DoD 8140/8570 certification within a reasonable time.
