Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking an IT systems administrator to provide 100% onsite administration of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments at our MA facility. You will work with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements and will pursue DoD 8140/8570 certifications as needed.

The role operates 24x7 and may require after-hours work in a fast-paced environment. Expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement hardening standards, and support VMware virtualization

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows and RHEL servers and securing configurations.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required

What You Will Do:

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedhatEnterpriseLinuxenvironment.

• Understandingand knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.

• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.

• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

• Full time 100% onsite positioned in Tewksbury MA

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field

• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers

• Experience with VMware virtualization

• Experience with securing system configurations, system hardening

• Experience with PowerShell scripting

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience serving as a technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.

• Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.

• Familiarity with NetApp storage and/or HPC environments.

• Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling, such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
