Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions in Laurel, MD is seeking a System Network Administrator with database experience to support mission‑critical IT environments across Linux, UNIX, and Windows. You will troubleshoot Tier 2–3 issues, configure virtual and storage environments, and act as a key escalation point to strengthen stability and performance for client/server/storage/network devices.

This full‑time role requires a technical Bachelor's degree, 10 years of SA experience (with substitution options), SQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required and ten (10) years' experience as a SA.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Must have SQL and Active Directory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in‑depth experience in trouble‑shooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
