RTX is seeking a Sustainment Automation Systems Engineer in Tucson to sustain, develop, and implement automation for manufacturing. You will work with robots, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems, integrating them with Ignition and business systems.

The role requires building and improving automation solutions and providing technical leadership. You will troubleshoot and debug across 30+ systems, collaborate with manufacturing teams, and drive TPM and spares management while traveling up to 25% as

Formación

• Requires STEM degree and substantial experience in automation (8+ years)
• Experience integrating control systems (actuators/sensors/robots)
• PLC/HMI programming experience, Rockwell preferred
• Robot programming experience (Fanuc preferred)
• Experience managing medium to complex automation projects

Responsabilidades

• Provide troubleshooting and debug support for 30+ robotic systems
• Lead technical resolution and guidance across teams
• Integrate software and hardware to build/upgrade automation solutions
• Liaise with factory, facilities, and leadership for TPM and spares management
• Support prove-in of new automation equipment
• Contribute to overall manufacturing technology strategy
• Travel up to 25% of time
