Job summary

DJ&A in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Survey Team Leader to guide a high‑performing survey group across multiple offices. You’ll own operations, personnel, budgets, and client relations to deliver accurate field and office work.

The ideal candidate has a NM PLS license, 20+ years in land surveying, proven leadership, and strong business development skills to grow the region's survey practice while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Active NM PLS license required
• 20+ years in land surveying with leadership experience
• Strong leadership and project management
• Proven business development and client-service skills
• Operations management and financial oversight experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration across offices
• Local-market knowledge for Montana region and regional clients

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide survey operations including staffing, budgets, and resources.
• Lead client relationships and pursue new opportunities; manage proposals and negotiations.
• Guide QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
• Supervise field crews and survey technicians; ensure accurate field data and mapping.
• Promote use of Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble BCT for efficient delivery.
• Mentor teams, set expectations, and drive safety and quality.
