Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced, licensed Survey Manager to lead and grow our surveying practice in Albuquerque, NM. You will guide field and office professionals, partner with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver surveying solutions that shape resilient communities across New Mexico and beyond.

Qualifications

• Current PLS licensure in New Mexico or ability to obtain within six months.
• Thorough knowledge of survey laws, standards and safety practices.
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong judgment and practical problem solving in technical contexts.
• Excellent client service, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership style and knowledge sharing.
• Familiarity with current surveying, mapping, and data-processing technologies.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title, control, staking and platting work.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, staffing, risk, and finances.
• Provide technical direction and QA/QC for deliverables.
• Mentor staff and foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and specialists for integrated solutions.
• Act as advisor to public and private clients, ensuring responsive service.
• Support business development through client relations and proposals.
• Champion safety, integrity, and collaboration in daily work.
• Apply modern survey tech and efficient workflows to improve quality and value.
