Woolpert seeks a Survey Crew Chief to lead a survey team in New Mexico. The role conducts boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys using total stations, GNSS, and data collectors. You will document activities, ensure accuracy, and support project schedules while mentoring junior crew members.

Requires 10+ years in surveying leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel. Vehicle provided for business travel; company offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Must have 10+ years of surveying experience in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of survey principles, methods, and practices.
• Ability to travel overnight and work overtime as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a survey crew to conduct field surveys including boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, levels, and data collectors.
• Prepare detailed field notes and sketches documenting survey activities.
• Adhere to project requirements, goals, and schedules as directed by the Survey Team Leader.
• Fundamental operation of survey software for downloading, processing, initial quality control, and verification of accuracy.
• Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Communicate issues or delays to the Survey Team Leader in a timely manner.
• Practice safety protocols and maintain PPE inventory; conduct safety checks on equipment and vehicles.
• Provide guidance and training to junior crew members and assist in evaluating crew performance.
