Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead a busy land surveying team in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will manage a variety of surveying projects and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction layout surveys.

You will mentor staff, coordinate field crews and office workflows, review survey calculations, and ensure timely deliverables while maintaining high accuracy with Civil 3D and related software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land surveying experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of New Jersey surveying practices and boundary principles.
• Experience managing or assisting with survey projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; ability to interpret deeds, plats, and survey records.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of survey projects throughout New Jersey.
• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, subdivision, and construction layout surveys.
• Perform deed research, boundary analysis, and file map preparation.
• Coordinate field crews, office staff, and project deliverables.
• Review survey calculations, plats, and CAD deliverables.
• Support and mentor junior survey staff and CAD technicians.
• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Assist with scheduling, project budgeting, and workload management.
• Utilize Civil 3D and related survey software for project oversight and review.
