Gilder Search Group seeks a Survey CAD Technician in Mount Laurel, NJ, to transform field survey data into precise CAD drawings. You will prepare plats, topographic maps, and staking drawings, collaborating with Survey Party Chiefs and project managers to meet project requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in surveying CAD, strong AutoCAD skills, and a solid grasp of surveying principles. Independent work and teamwork are both essential in this role, with GIS knowledge seen as a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in CAD or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and terminology.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in CAD drafting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with land surveying standards and practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of GIS software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Convert field survey data into CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Prepare detailed survey plats, topographic maps, and construction staking drawings.
• Collaborate with Survey Party Chiefs and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of CAD drawings, incorporating survey data and project specifications.
• Organize and manage CAD files and project documentation in a systematic manner.
• Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to CAD drawings and survey data.
• Review and interpret survey field notes, sketches, and data to create accurate digital representations.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and advancements in surveying CAD technology.
• Provide support to survey teams in the interpretation and utilization of CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with other CAD technicians and team members to maintain consistency in drafting standards.
