Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician III to execute complex land surveying assignments and review maps for compliance with laws and regulations. This role requires strong math skills, experience with ALTA/topographic surveys, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble software.

You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with field crews to ensure quality results. Based in the United States, standard hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with travel to worksites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of ALTA surveys and boundary surveying.
• Ability to read maps, title reports, and legal descriptions.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Trimble software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct boundary analysis from field data.
• Prepare working sketches for field crews.
• Create survey base drawings from field data.
• Produce subdivision maps and ALTA/topographic surveys.
• Review survey maps for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior survey technicians and drafters.
• Coordinate with PM and field crew to meet schedules.
