Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to support operative and invasive procedures across multiple specialties. The role includes scrubbing, preparing the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon with timing and efficiency in the operating room.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or Surgical Technology certificate and BLS certification. New grads are welcome; on-site work with competitive sign-on and relocation bonuses offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• Education: Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate and efficient setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment, sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to patient entering room; maintain organized back table.
• Anticipate case needs, collaborate with surgeon, and adjust as necessary.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs; participate in case turnover and closing activities.
• Teach RNs to scrub on various cases and mentor staff as needed.
