Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Sr Surgical Technologist for a full-time day shift in our outpatient OR, Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm. This experienced role mentors staff and supports safe operating room procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-op prep, instrument handling across multiple specialties, maintaining sterile technique, and training new technologists. Requires CST or equivalent certification, BLS, and two years of CST experience; EPIC proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.
• Two years as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide Surgical Technologist staff; train and orient others.
• Prepare operating room, equipment and supplies for procedures; ensure sterile technique.
• Pass instruments and supplies during surgeries; support multiple surgical specialties.
