Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Sr Surgical Technologist for day shifts (4-10s) to support the operating room, mentor staff, and ensure safe, efficient procedures. This role involves independent judgment and collaboration with nurses and surgeons while handling non-nursing duties as delegated.

The candidate should have CVOR experience, two years as a Surgical Technologist, BLS, and an NBSTSA/NCCT/NCCSA certification or grandfather clause, and strong EPIC and instrument knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification and CST/TS-C/CSA or grandfather clause per SB1239.

Responsibilities

• Support operating room functions and patient care in a fast-paced setting.
• Mentor and orient other Surgical Technologists and assist in training.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument handling across procedures.
