Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Surgical Technologist for the outpatient OR, Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm. The role includes mentoring staff, training new technologists, and providing high-quality operating room support with patient-centered care.

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique is essential. Responsibilities include coordinating intraoperative assistance, maintaining instrument sets, and ensuring safety standards with EPIC usage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide Surgical Technologists; train and orient others.
• Assist with safe and efficient operating room support functions.
• Maintain department upkeep and provide patient care as delegated by licensed personnel.
