Job summary

Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital is seeking a Sr Surgical Technologist to perform delegated tasks in the operating room with independence and good judgment. The role includes mentoring other technologists, assisting with non-nursing duties, and supporting patient care in concert with Houston Methodist values.

Requirements include a surgical technology program, BLS, and current certification or grandfather clause compliance. Strong English communication and EPIC proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.).
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Surgical Technologists.
• Provide operating room support and patient care duties as delegated by licensed personnel.
• Assist with department upkeep and training orientation for others.
• Demonstrate proficiency with surgical instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures.
