Job summary

Aurora Surgery Centers LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to assist during a range of procedures, maintaining a sterile, safe operating area and supporting the surgical team with instrument handling and setup.

The role emphasizes adherence to aseptic technique, knowledge of equipment, and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical environment. Training and orientation will precede regular case coverage.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to meet Surgical Technologist I competencies.
• Familiarity with and adept with all types of procedures within their specialty.
• Proficient in all types of surgical procedures and maintains advanced knowledge of equipment used in the center.
• Maintains knowledge of various types of equipment used in the Surgical Center.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment according to physician specifications.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies and anticipating needs.
• Prepare and wrap instruments, assist in instrument room as needed.
• Participate in call coverage and ongoing department education.
