Job summary

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a Sr Surgical Technologist to support operating room services and mentor fellow technologists. You will perform delegated tasks to ensure safe, efficient procedures and maintain sterile technique.

The role requires strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, EPIC functionality, and teamwork with surgeons and nurses. Non-nursing functions and patient-centered care are emphasized, with on-site responsibilities in a day shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.
• Must have BLS certification or instructor status per AHA.
• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures with instruments and supplies.
• Mentor and orient junior surgical technologists and serve as preceptor.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with operating room readiness.
