Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Surgical Technologist to provide advanced support in the operating room, mentor peers, and ensure safe, efficient patient care. The role requires independent judgment and collaboration with nurses and surgeons across multiple service lines.

You will oversee non-nursing duties, assist with instrument sets, autoclave processes, and contribute to department training and quality improvements. Experience in SP specialty areas is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.
• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures and prepare the operating room.
• Mentor and train other Surgical Technologists.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument counts.
• Ensure department safety and compliance with standards.
