Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Proficient in aseptic surgical techniques and expertise in multiple specialties.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to physician needs and changes during procedures.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies.
• Set up the operating room and equipment for each case.
• Assist with gowning/gloving and wound closure under the surgeon's supervision.
• Transport and handle supplies and equipment, maintaining safety and sterility.
• Maintain specialty carts, verify equipment condition and sterility, and request repairs as needed.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for Surgical Technologists and participate in committees when needed.
• Position and assist with patient moves as required.
