Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic and robotics procedures. You will assist in aseptic technique, prepare instruments, assist the RN circulator, and help with room turnover while maintaining sterile standards.

Requires 5 years of OR experience and NBSTSA/NCCT certification, plus BLS. Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or military training; able to lift 35 pounds; works in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in aseptic technique and in organizing supplies and instruments.
• Helps prepare and sterilize instruments for use and terminal sterilization.
• Assists the RN circulator with patient prep, supplies, equipment and room turnover.
• Supports highly specialized procedures: neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges and inventory.
