Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Part-time Surgical Technician for East Cobb Health Park. Work 3x8 shifts (6:45a-3:15p) with no call, evenings or weekends.

The role supports a multidisciplinary surgical team in a busy perioperative environment, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety. The ideal candidate has a CST or equivalent certification, 5+ years of surgical tech experience, and strong collaboration and communication skills to mentor students and contribute to performance

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for procedures using preference cards.
• Set up sterile table with instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove the team; assist surgeon during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and anticipate needs for instruments.
• Mentor, precept or train students and new staff; participate in performance improvement.
• Prepare rooms, stock supplies, and assist with patient transport as needed.
