Wellstar Health System, East Cobb Health Park, is seeking a Part-time Surgical Tech to join the operating room team. The position offers 3x8 shifts (6:45a-3:15p) with no on-call, evenings, or weekends.

The Surgical Tech will support two surgical specialties, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with the surgeon and health-care team to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow. Required are a Surgical Technology credential and strong English communication, with a focus on teamwork,

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; Surgical Technology certification/degree.
• Minimum 5 years surgical technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• CST certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare operative suite and sterile field for procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove for surgeon and assistants.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon and anticipate needs during surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Assist with room turnover and instrument reprocessing as needed.
