Job summary

Eisenhower Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to perform scrub duties, prepare supplies for cases, and maintain the sterile field. You will pass instruments, assist the surgeon, and ensure instruments are reprocessed after procedures.

The position requires a Surgical Technology credential, BLS, and at least three years of related experience in a multi-specialty surgical environment. On-site role with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of accredited Surgical Technology training program or five years of experience in lieu of training.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist; American Heart Association BLS.
• Three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute multi-specialty environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique per Surgical Services policies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs by reviewing preference cards and procuring supplies.
• Prepare instruments and room setup; document counts with nurse.
• Assist with department projects and policy development.
• Provide in-service education for staff at least once per year.
