Job summary

MCW in Milwaukee seeks a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to coordinate routine and complex operative cases, aligning provider offices with the operating room and ensuring timely, efficient scheduling.

You will lead a scheduling team, train staff on MCP practice standards, manage OR block utilization, and implement process improvements while guiding patients through pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑operative instructions.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in healthcare scheduling or administrative roles.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; knowledge of healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule routine and complex operative cases; coordinate with providers and OR.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and optimize the schedule.
• Educate patients on pre/post-operative instructions and scheduling processes.
