Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to support the Nuclear Online Work Management initiative at a major energy client. This is a 100% remote, 12-month contract with potential for extension or hire.

The role focuses on production support across application, data, integration, and cloud environments, with emphasis on Azure, Databricks, and SQL to troubleshoot complex issues in a regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
7+ years in technical support, production support, or related roles.
Strong troubleshooting across applications, data, integrations, and production issues.
Root cause analysis across multi-layer stacks.
Proficient in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based environments.
Hands-on Databricks experience and data platforms.
Strong SQL/database knowledge and data issue analysis.
Ability to interpret logs and system outputs during investigations.
Experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to collaborate across software, data, cloud, and infra teams in regulated settings.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical and production support for the Nuclear Online Work Management platform.
Own issues from investigation to resolution with engineering teams.
Investigate application, data, and system issues to determine root cause.
Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolutions.
Troubleshoot Azure and Databricks data workflows.
Analyze SQL queries, logs, and data pipelines during investigations.
Diagnose React/Node.js application behavior and apply minor fixes.
Translate business problems into actionable technical issues.
Support testing, releases, and post-deployment activities.
Identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
Develop and maintain runbooks and incident documentation.
Communicate findings to technical teams and stakeholders.
Support reliability of AI-enabled platform capabilities.
Collaborate across teams to resolve cross-layer issues.
