Job summary

icebreaker and Smartwool, based in Denver, seek a Senior Supply Planner to own supply planning for defined categories and optimize inventory and service levels. The role collaborates with Global Supply Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, and Demand Planning to manage capacity constraints and ensure timely supplier deliveries.

You will manage SAP purchase requisitions, provide Open-to-Buy inputs, and drive process improvements while maintaining a long-term view of supply availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate supply chain, focused on demand & supply planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand, assess, & solve problems using analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Proven ability to multi-task.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros).
• Understanding of reporting tools (Brio/SAP Business Objects/PowerBI).
• Experience in project planning and implementation.
• Self-starter with excellent follow-through.
• Attention to detail.
• SAP system experience is a plus.
• Travel estimated at 5% or less.

Responsibilities

• Own category-level supply planning and buy recommendations; create and route purchase requisitions in SAP.
• Provide monthly supply outlook and Open-to-Buy inputs to Inventory Planning.
• Monitor demand and supply timing using SAP and Excel trackers; re-phase supply as needed.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning during capacity or material constraints and communicate impacts.
• Manage seasonal system setup and line plan validation with Demand Planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support monthly financial objectives.
• Support service and inventory performance reporting with Inventory Analyst.
• Provide department leadership and planning expertise; drive process improvements and best practices.
• Maintain a long-term view of supply availability; assess capacity and risks.
• Participate in and/or lead key projects to evolve planning capabilities.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
