Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory planning, and vendor relationships across production and distribution. You will drive on-time delivery of quality goods, manage a team of Purchasing Agents and a Buyer, and partner with operations to meet targets.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will develop forecast models, produce performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and waste while ensuring supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high faced paced Manufacturing, Fulfillment or Distribution environment.
• Direct experience supervising and coaching a team including goal setting and performance feedback and review.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply chain vendor selection and relationships for all materials used in the facility. This includes negotiating prices (including freight), delivery times and billing terms with a focus on total cost of product ownership from end to end.
• Utilizes strategic sourcing opportunities to enhance vendor costs, delivery times and cost containment. Supports ERP’s and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and how they are used in customer support and delivery times. Owns accurate reporting of inventory targets and levels in the warehouse. Manages the MRP for accurate forecasting.
• Develops and maintains independent demand forecast models that drive supply chain planning processes.
• Produces weekly and monthly inventory reports and vendor performance metrics.
• Leads, coaches and directs a subordinate staff on the purchasing process, planning and scheduling production and inventory control.
• Participates and collaborates with sales team and operations team to support and drive current and future demand and growth.
