Job summary

RTX in Portsmouth, RI seeks a Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Operations Quality Team. You will drive quality with suppliers, monitor performance, lead yield improvements and reduce CoPQ, ensuring change control and site policies are followed.

You will analyze supplier issues, perform robust root-cause analyses, and coordinate cross-functional actions to protect product quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM or technical field with five years related experience.
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans for top drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of nonconformances and root-cause analysis.
• Communicate supplied part issues to suppliers and stakeholders and ensure follow-up.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.
