Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Specialist to support supplier quality, development, and continuous improvement across our aerospace and defense operations. You will lead supplier qualification, assessment, performance monitoring, escape management, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities while helping drive sustainable improvements across the supply base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years in supplier quality.
• Experience in supplier qualification, assessments, audits, and improvement.
• U.S. citizenship required for program access.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, certification, assessment, and development.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and identify systemic improvements.
• Lead supplier escape management and complex quality issue resolution.
• Develop and implement corrective/preventive actions with 8D/Red-X.
• Support audits, inspections, and supplier quality reviews.
• Apply PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans, SPC, and PPAP tools.
• Assess readiness for transfers, changes, and PPAP acceptance.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Operations/Supply Chain to mitigate risks.
• Coach suppliers and stakeholders to drive sustainable improvements.
