RTX (Raytheon) in Andover, MA seeks a seasoned Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to lead metrics analysis and defect prevention on the shop floor. You will guide APQP activities, drive containment and corrective actions, and ensure robust product/process verifications through FAIRs and audits.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive manufacturing quality experience, knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, and the ability to obtain US government clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of quality/manufacturing engineering experience, or advanced degree with 3 years.
• Experience in FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION REPORTS (FAIRs), quality monitoring, and leading root cause corrective actions.
• Experience in development/usage of quality metrics and verifications.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, and use future demand to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Engage and support shop floor personnel and manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast).
• Drive and facilitate compliance resolution, containment, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation, Verification, and Validation.
• Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements that reduce variation.
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand to facilitate defect prevention.
• Integrate product and process verifications such as First Article Inspection reports and audits throughout value stream processes.
