Volvo Group is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for Cab Exterior & Interior in the Greensboro area. You will own supplier industrialization, quality assurance, capacity verification and launch readiness for an assigned portfolio within Cab Exterior and Cab Interior.

Responsibilities include leading supplier audits, advancing PPAP/PFMEA, and coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure parts meet dimensional, appearance, and durability requirements across sourcing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of relevant automotive manufacturing, supplier quality, product quality or industrialization experience.
• Practical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, problem solving and supplier audit methods.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, technical specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and applicable quality standards.
• Ability to independently manage a supplier portfolio, prioritize risks and lead cross-functional activities.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach in a multicultural organization.

Responsabilités

• Lead supplier industrialization from sourcing through APQP, PPAP, launch and stable production.
• Assess supplier manufacturing feasibility, process capability, quality systems and readiness; drive recovery plans with clear ownership.
• Plan and execute supplier capacity verification including Run-at-Rate and Significant Production Runs.
• Lead supplier audits and process reviews; approve PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSA and PPAP evidence.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering and suppliers during design and feasibility reviews.
• Ensure critical characteristics are controlled through capable processes and inspection.
• Assess commodity-specific risks for molding, coating, appearance, dimensions and functionality.
• Lead supplier investigations and corrective actions; update PFMEAs and work instructions.
